Laura and Mackenzie joined me in the studio for her milestone sitter session and motherhood session combined. These are absoluteley some of my very favorite baby photos to take! Six – nine month olds are just so much fun!

6-9 month baby milestone pictures

Babies at 6-9 months can usually sit on their own, grab their toes, giggle and clap, and crawl! And they are just getting into laughing like crazy at mom’s antics, and still want to be held and snuggled by mom which I literally cannot get enough of!

We kept the vibe for her photo session soft with lots of neutral tones. I just love the simplicity and timeless feel it gives the photos! they’re so light and bright which worked so well with baby Mac’s beautiful bright blue eyes!

Scheduling your baby’s 6 month sitter photos

I always plan for more than enough time during sessions to allow for extra snuggles, feeding, and breaks for mom and baby. It’s really common for your little one to need to have a little snack break if they start to get fussy. I am never in a hurry, and we can stop at any point during your session to take care of baby’s needs. Your baby and your comfort are always number one priority in my book! Plus it’s really nice to take the break and just chat! And if you’re nursing and would like to have breastfeeding photos, this makes for the perfect time for that… even if you choose to keep those 100% private, I am happy to document that special bond with you and your babe, no matter their age.
