ToniAnn and Gordon are getting married at The Club at Picatinny in Spring 2022. Their wedding date is almost EXACTLY a year from the date that we had their engagement session. ToniAnn chose to meet at the always beautiful Grand Cascades Lodge at Crystal Springs Resort in Sussex County New Jersey for their spring engagement session. The Grand Cascades resort has so many options for multiple looks and backdrops to their photos.

Engagement sessions are so much more than just pretty pictures!

I absolutely LOVE to have engagement sessions with all of my wedding couples to not only get really great photos of them as a couple celebrating their engagement, but to also get to know them well! We spend time wandering around the property taking awesome and fun photos, but also chatting, laughing, and getting comfortable with one another!

These two said they were both just a bit nervous before the session, of course! I always tell couples it’s normal to be nervous the first 10-15 minutes. It feels a bit weird and awkward, but then you get the hang of it! Quickly realizing it’s really fun to run around with your partner laughing and playing silly games together!

It’s ALWAYS a better option to be nervous in front of the camera at the start of your engagement session than to be nervous for photos on your wedding day! By the time your wedding rolls around, you’ll have nerves for so many other parts of your day, and be looking forward to photos because you know what to expect already as you’ve had so much practice!
