SAY HELLO!
I'm thrilled you're here! Whether you're getting married or starting a family, I am here to help you document your most treasured memories. When the party is over and the kids have grown, - the memories and photographs are all that's left.
Cassies and Matt’s Mountain Creek wedding at the Red Tail lodge in Vernon NJ did not dissapoint! Even with rain and cold weather in the forecast, they joyfully carried on with their beautiful mountain top ceremony! Keep reading to see more from their beautiful day!
Matt and Cassie met while she was finishing up college. She was a volunteer EMT in the same town she grew up in and where Matt is working as a police officer. They met through mutual friends that convinced them to go on a date, knowing they would be perfect together. They had their first date at a local pub, and closed it down because they were talking all night, and the rest is history! Rumor has it that Matt started to save for a ring two weeks after they met!
“We went up to his family’s cabin for Memorial Day weekend in the Adirondacks with family. We started our day hanging out drinking and playing lawn games, his older brother went on the boat with a couple of friends… Matt asked me to come on the dock to check to “see where they are at” I tried to get out of going on the dock but he eventually convinced me to walk out there. That’s when he proposed! I cried (we have videos from his younger brother who taped it). I didn’t know we were going to get engaged that weekend, but I had an idea it was coming! We knew that we wanted to marry each other early on, we started looking for houses together last summer. We chose to purchase a home prior to getting engaged/married because we just knew!”
They chose to get married at Mountain Creek for the rustic vibe and the ceremony at the top of the mountain sold us! Cassie and Matt live locally, so the location made perfect sense for them and most of their guests!
A Mountain Creek wedding is a great choice for those who will be having a larger wedding, and would like all of their events to take place in one spot. The Mountain creek property has the gorgeous Appalachian hotel on site to accommodate all your overnight guests, a spacious rustic mountain vibe reception space, and the unique option to ride to gondola to your mountain top ceremony! ( Cassie and Matt’s wedding happened to fall during maintenance of the gondola)
*When I arrived to the Bridal Suite at the Appalachian Hotel, Cassie was already fully ready to get dressed! Her hair and makeup team finished way ahead of schedule! Props to Hair by Casey Veda and Christina Trottaco Beauty. It’s not often that happens, and it just sets you up to have a relaxing morning!
*Even with rain in the forecast, Cassie was cool, calm and collected. We chatted about the option to have an indoor ceremony, but she was set on the mountain top, rain or shine! It worked out so beautifully! Matt and Cassie had the rain clear up just long enough to get all of their photos and ceremony on top of the mountain done! BONUS: overcast days make for the softest prettiest lighting, and I always come with clear umbrellas just in case!
Cassie’s Grandparents were able to attend their wedding. Cassie chose to do a grandfather and bride dance with her Grandfather. It was so emotional, and a really special moment for them both and her Grandmother.
CONGRATS to the Newlyweds!! Wishing you both a lifetime of health and happiness!
xx, Ashley
