This is where I’ll be photographing families this August 10 – 16 & 23-25, 2025 . It’s one of my all-time favorite beach spots!! With the iconic Barnegat Lighthouse, winding nature trails, and soft sand beaches, it’s ideal for both adventurous and laid-back sessions. I’ll be offering private, customizable family photo sessions during my visit including capturing those sweet moments at your rental or family home, walking together to the beach, and soaking up every bit of that summer nostalgia. ✨

Best Time of Day for NJ shore Family Photo Shoots

To avoid harsh sun, heat, and crowded beaches, the best times for your family photo session are:

• Early Morning (shortly after sunrise): The light is soft and dreamy, and little ones are often happiest and well-rested. The beaches are also quiet and serene.
• Golden Hour (Evening): About 60–90 minutes before sunset, the light turns warm and golden, giving your photos a magical glow. This is perfect for snuggly, playful moments and romantic light flares.

Pro tip: bring a light sweater or blanket for the breeze—photos cuddled up together are some of the best!
