Did you know that the typical in morristown hospital newborn photography is unscheduled?

The photographers contracted to do your baby’s first photos will knock on your door un-announced, and do the photos right then and there. *GASP* !! IMAGINE, a pop in photo shoot! While I understand that some photos are better than none, and those photos in a pinch are great. In my opinion, this once in a lifetime moment deserves to have the time and talent dedicated to documenting it properly, beautifully, and un-hurried.

If you’re hoping to truly have beautiful newborn baby photos at the hospital, then you have found the right place!

A Fresh 48 session is scheduled around your desired timeline. Typically the day after delivery, or discharge day from Morristown Hospital Center for Mother and Baby.

You will have time to do your hair and makeup if you choose to do so, as I will never come unannounced, and will even photograph baby as you are doing your hair and makeup. I am on no time schedule, and will happily stay as long or as short as you would like.

Your session is very relaxed, calm, and beautiful. I use just the natural lighting in the hospital room when possible. Creating a calming quiet environment to snuggle your newborn baby for their first baby pictures at Morristown Hospital Mother Baby center.

How long can we expect our Morristown hospital newborn photography to take?

About an hour is typical. Some times just a tad longer if baby is upset and needs a feeding and a diaper change, or if doctors and nurses need to pop in and do checks on baby or mom. I am happy to step out of the room for those visits, or I can continue to shoot through feedings and changes if you would like a true documentary style session including those beautiful true-to-life things.

What should we wear for these photos?

Given the very documentary style of these images, it is best to keep things as they are! Moms will usually wear a robe or comfortable pajama type outfit. Dad are often in tee shirts and sweats of some sort, and baby can be in a simple white onesie, or just a diaper and hospital swaddle blanket.

If you prefer, we can do an outfit or two for baby, depending on how up for it you and they are. A diaper and swaddle for classic just born photos, and then their going home outfit for memories sake are welcome!

How do we plan for our Morristown Hospital Baby Pictures?

Babies come on their own time, always. Even if you have a C-section planned they can still show up early! I am basically on call the two weeks before and after your due date. You will schedule your due date with your retainer so we can plan and make sure all our ducks are in a row before baby arrives. When you go into labor, have someone close to you ( partner, family member, ect) send me a text heads up! I will make myself available to you the following day or two to get these photos done before you are discharged from Morristown Hospital Baby Center.

What happens if we cannot complete your Morristown Hospital Baby Pictures?

Things happen, plans change, and babies absolutely have minds of their own. Sometimes baby needs a NICU stay, or sometimes delivery is a bit more taxing than anticipated. I always stay flexible with these sessions, we can schedule an in home or in studio session instead of the hospital Fresh 48 if need be. No questions asked, and no rush.
