First Birthday Pictures Reimagined | New Jersey Family Photographer

Reimagine how first birthday pictures are done!

Are you considering doing first birthday pictures for your child?! Your baby’s first birthday is a time that you will for sure want to remember and document! All the cute little things they do are just amazing! But, they’re also here and gone in a blink as they go from baby, to toddler seemingly overnight!

Why have a basic cake smash session when you can reimagine the whole way you document this time to be more authentic, natural, and memorable?!

In Home first birthday sessions are the perfect way to document your life, your home, and your little one with all their adorable little quirks! PLUS, we can still smash some cake! But instead of just your child in the photos, I prefer to get that AND your entire family involved in the fun!

Some ideas for a First Birthday photos at home!

  • Story time in the nursery
  • Play time on the floor with favorite toys
  • Standing in the crib to show how big they are!
  • Playing airplane
  • Snuggling and dancing with mom
  • Crawling and exploring
  • Pulling up on furniture
  • Learning to walk!
  • Smashing cake in the kitchen or dining room
  • Sink baths!

Check out Roman’s at home session with Mom and Dad where we played in his room, read his favorite book, wrestled with dad, and then moved on to smash some cake!! My favorite part is getting Mom and Dad involved with wedding style cake smashing! SO FUN! We ended the whole session with a sink bath to get all cleaned up!

Our whole time was one big celebration of where Roman is as a baby, about to be toddler! A celebration of making it through the first year as parents, AND about to welcome a baby sister in the next few months!
