Emily and Johnny’s love story is one that was destined to bloom. Having first met as children, their paths crossed again many years later, leading them to their magical wedding day at Emmerich Tree Farm this past August. Surrounded by the beauty of nature, family, and friends, their wedding was a celebration of love, local pride, and meaningful connections.

A Love That Spans Time

Emily and Johnny’s bond is as deep-rooted as the trees that surrounded their ceremony. After growing up together and losing touch for a time, they reconnected later in life and quickly realized that their love was meant to be. Their wedding day reflected not just their love for each other but their shared values, commitment to their church community, and passion for supporting local businesses.

Floral Beauty Grown by the Bride

One of the most unique aspects of Emily and Johnny’s wedding was Emily’s personal touch in every detail. Emily works at Northern Lights Flower Farm in Massachusetts, and she took on the incredible task of growing and handpicking all of the florals used for the wedding. From vibrant wildflowers, gorgeous dahlias, to soft blooms, each flower represented her dedication, hard work, and love for the craft. These personal touches made the day even more special, weaving Emily’s passion for flowers into every photograph

Amy, from The Wildfloweress floral designer, turned Emily’s floral vision into a breathtaking masterpiece. The bouquets, ceremony arch, and delicate bud vases on the reception tables were all designed using Emily’s farm-fresh flowers. The arrangements perfectly complemented the natural beauty of Emmerich Tree Farm, bringing an ethereal, wild elegance to the day.

Supporting Local with Every Detail

For Emily and Johnny, supporting local vendors was an important part of their wedding vision. Every detail, from the drinks to the desserts, celebrated the talents of the Hudson Valley community. The couple chose:

  • Local wine from Warwick Winery to toast to their new chapter.
  • Hard cider from Pennings to keep guests refreshed throughout the warm August day.
  • Sweet treats like cider donuts and homemade ice cream from Bellvale Creamery, adding a fun, nostalgic element to their celebration.
  • Delicious, authentic catering by Allan’s Falafel from Chester, NY, ( the bride’s dad’s favorite restaurant) which was a hit among all the guests!

This focus on local vendors created a wedding day that not only reflected Emily and Johnny’s personalities but also supported the people and businesses they love in the region.

A Day Filled with Personal Touches

Emily and Johnny’s attention to detail was evident in every moment of their day. Their dogs, who hold a special place in their hearts, were even incorporated into the cake topper, bringing smiles and laughter from everyone in attendance. The cake, made by Emily’s sister, was a perfect reflection of the couple’s love for each other and their commitment to making their wedding day uniquely theirs!

Sunset and Sparkler Magic

As the evening drew to a close, the magic of the day continued with a sparkler exit that lit up the night. Friends and family lined the path with sparklers in hand, sending Emily and Johnny off in a warm glow as they made their way to their getaway car. It was a beautiful, picture-perfect moment to end an unforgettable day. With the sunset behind them and the excitement of their future ahead, they drove off to begin their honeymoon at Lake George, ready for the next chapter of their lives together in Massachusetts.
